Decision analysis: analyzing dependencies between entities
across different domains to make business decisions within an
organization is important at a strategic level, as well as
operationally. Essentially, the business needs answers to questions
that are asked by key stakeholders. Some sample scenarios are
below:
- "We have identified a business function that we believe to
be a duplicate. We would like to understand the impact of retiring
this function on both people (Actors) and Technology."
- "We have recently acquired another company, so we have
applications duplicating behaviour that we would like to
rationalise. I would like to understand the impact of retiring
Application X."
- "This server is reaching the end of its lifetime. I would
like to understand what applications (and indirectly processes)
will be affected when this machine is turned off."

across multiple domains within the enterprise architecture. In
iServer, the visualizations can also be exported into a variety of
formats, which can be consumed by stakeholders across the

Using the tools iServer provides eliminates a lot of the manual
work that organizations usually perform in analyzing the impact of
change (e.g. which applications provide redundant functionality,
therefore become candidates for retirement) as well as being able
to generate attractive outputs which can be consumed in a variety
