Evaluating iServer: Request a Proof of Concept

What is a proof of concept?

An iServer proof of concept gives a potential customer the opportunity to evaluate iServer and prove that it meets their BPA tool requirements prior to any investment. With the assistance of an Orbus consultant, iServer can be quickly configured and a real sample of the organization's processes and documentation imported into the repository. Then, iServer is demonstrated at a workshop in a context that is familiar to all the attendees, detailed tool requirements can be discussed and workshop attendees have an opportunity to test-drive iServer.

Why?

  • - To give the potential customer the opportunity to prove the suitability of iServer prior to any software investment.
  • - A software demonstration is easier to understand if the models, documentation and metadata are familiar to the audience.
  • - iServer features can be illustrated using real data, and real-life requirements can be discussed in context.
  • - The fact that iServer can be configured, data imported and publications generated in a few hours proves that iServer genuinely gives you a quick start.

How it works

An iServer proof-of-concept can be done onsite or remotely. An onsite PoC requires a day of your time, and you can see iServer configured and demonstrated first hand. An offsite PoC just requires you to provide your diagrams and documents, then turn up for an internet workshop / demonstration.

1. You provide us with a small sample of your Visio business processes and supporting MS Office documentation (typically 10-20 diagrams and documents).

2. A short telephone conference is arranged to discuss your requirements and areas of interest in more detail

3. An Orbus expert will configure iServer and create a repository based on the information provided. This can be done at the workshop, or in advance.

4. Demonstration - this can be an internet demonstration, or an in-person visit - where iServer can be presented using your data, tailored exactly to your specific areas of interest rather than a generic demo.

5. Workshop - A workshop gives you the opportunity to test-drive iServer whilst an Orbus expert is present to help you get the most out of your evaluation.

6. Publication - at the end of the workshop, we provide you with an interactive HTML publication of the repository, allowing you to distribute the results of the workshop to your colleagues for discussion afterwards.
