The Business Challenge

The organization had an established team of architects working as a virtual group, but without structure.  They needed to implement a central EA practice and with EA tools that would support and direct new project work and developments

The Solution

iServer was chosen as the tool to support a strategic initiative to set up a more structured approach to Architecture. The business, being heavily outsourced and traditionally ‘federated', needed a solution that would facilitate the easy transfer of enterprise architecture information between permanent and outsourced resources (without the need for heavy tool expense).

Why iServer?

iServer offered the ability to support a pragmatic approach to TOGAF® 9, in alignment with familiar Office tools, and the ArchiMate notation. iServer's ability to easily transfer (via Visio & Office) Architecture information between the business and their outsourcer was also key.
