Definition Documents and Naming Standards: Key to an effective Business Information Repository
Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Business Process Analysis (BPA)
repositories are key sources of 'Organisational knowledge' that
support decision-making within organisations.
Not surprisingly, these repositories tend to get 'cluttered'
with information in all sorts of formats and structures, with
little or no thought to standards or templates.
This lack of consistent or standardized modeling (in both
structure and notation) will most likely result in an inability to
deliver many of the benefits associated with repository-based
tools.

projects, using examples to show the importance of creating a set
of standardized templates for 'Definition Documents' and
introducing naming standards.
