iServer - A Repository and collaborative modeling environment for Microsoft Office and Visio

iServer is a multi-user Repository and modeling environment for the Microsoft Office and Visio documents produced as part of an organization's Enterprise Architecture work. Shapes on diagrams and Word document components (bookmarks) become repository objects allowing them to be managed as true EA artifacts (building blocks). Controls and standards, analytical functions and traceability supplied within iServer help to build your EA environment, monitor your progress against requirements/objectives & milestones and produce the deliverables necessary to ensure successful business transformation.

iServer's support for TOGAF - the Open Group Architecture Framework

The solution consists of a pre-configured iServer Repository designed to give you a very quick start with TOGAF. Importantly, it is also very easy to customize - whether you want to overlay another framework (such as Zachman), select different notations, or change the metamodel, this can be done very quickly.

• Pre-configured Repository
  Pre-configured repository with an ADM-based framework, a complete set of TOGAF deliverables (MS Office Document Templates & Visio Model Templates) aligned to the appropriate phases of the ADM, views and matrix reports, meta-data to monitor data against a time horizon, building block status information and other key TOGAF measures.
• A TOGAF Metamodel
  TOGAF 8.1.1 does not specify a definitive metamodel. Orbus Software have created one based around the current TOGAF documentation, meaning that you don't have to. The metamodel includes the artifacts, meta-definitions and relationship types that will be used in the Repository.
• Stencils and Notations
  TOGAF is intended to be notation-independent. However, many customers want a pre-set notation matching the modeling artifacts defined by TOGAF. To satisfy this need we include a set of Visio stencil notations as part of the solution. Unlike other notations provided by tool vendors, ours are easily interchangeable and extensible - If you are already using Visio stencils to represent your artifacts, there is no need to change. A small sample of one of the provided architecture notations is shown below:
