A TOGAF® ADM-based Architecture & Modeling
Repository
The solution consists of a pre-configured iServer Repository
designed to give you a very quick start with TOGAF® 9.
It is built around the ADM, contains a complete set of
TOGAF® deliverable and artifact types (MS Office
Document Templates & Visio Model Templates) aligned to the
appropriate phases of the ADM, views and matrix reports, meta-data
to monitor data against a time horizon, building block status
information and other key TOGAF® measures. This is
supported by full versioning ensuring integrity of Enterprise
Architecture content.

Implemented TOGAF® 9 Content Meta-model
iServer supports the TOGAF® 9 core content meta-model
and extensions. Orbus Software have pre-defined and configured the
repository based on the meta-model from the current
TOGAF® 9 documentation, meaning that you don't need to
spend months configuring it yourself. The TOGAF®
meta-model includes the building block classifications (such as
Actor, Logical Application Component), meta-definitions and
relationship types that will be used in the Repository and can be
customized whenever necessary.
TOGAF® Artifact and Deliverable Templates
(TOGAF® Views & Viewpoints)
Templates for TOGAF® deliverables and artifacts
(viewpoints and views such as documents, models, catalogs,
matrices) are provided for each ADM phase, ready to use in the most
appropriate Microsoft Office applications. Entities in the
meta-model have been defined and pre-assigned to different
templates (TOGAF® 9 viewpoints) so there is no guess
work involved when deciding which meta-model entities should be
modeled or communicated in which diagram.
Attractive TOGAF® 9 Visio Notations
A pre-defined notation set (Visio stencil) matching the modeling
artifacts defined by TOGAF® is included part of our
solution. Unlike other notations provided by tool vendors, ours are
easily interchangeable and extensible - If you are already using
Visio stencils to represent your artifacts, there is no need to
change. A small sample of the TOGAF® notation is shown
below:
Orbus also provides an easy to use Visio Stencil and usage guide
for the Open Group's ArchiMate Notation. Once The Open Group have
fully aligned ArchiMate and TOGAF® 9, a new release of
the TOGAF® solution will be issued containing a complete
set of deliverable and model templates based on the ArchiMate
notation set.
The ArchiMate stencil can be found in iServer Downloads
TOGAF® "How to": BPMN Processes and Other Reference
Guides
BPMN process models explain the steps required to complete each
phase in TOGAF®, and the inputs and outputs required in
diagrammatic form. "How to" guides are included for using the
TOGAF® solution with iServer, including how to
generating catalogs, generating customized views and creating
matrices.
Gap Analysis Report
Use iServer's current to future states comparison report to
satisfy the TOGAF® 9 requirement for 'Gap Analysis'
artifacts. This report helps identifies omissions in order to
highlight items such as building blocks and or objects to be
eliminated and or built / acquired as part of Enterprise
Architecture work packages.
