TOGAF 9 - The Open Group Architecture Framework
TOGAF 9 "Out of the Box" - Save time implementing a TOGAF
Capability
iServer provides an "Out of the box" solution for TOGAF 9,
designed to reduce the start-up time of a TOGAF compliant
Enterprise Architecture capability by as much as three
months. Standards, guidelines, required documentation and
deliverables published by the Open Group has been condensed into
the toolset to provide a visual reference point and an existing
working environment for all users of and contributors to your
Enterprise Architecture practice.
The TOGAF solution from Orbus Software allows you to focus on
delivering and demonstrating the value of your EA work to the
business as quickly as possible.
Fast Start to TOGAF 9
The TOGAF out of box solution saves an enormous amount of time
both in training and also the deployment within the context of your
own corporate requirements. By combining the TOGAF solution
and the tool deployment method (shown below), your architects will
have received TOGAF training (TOGAF Certification can be achieved
if an exam is taken) and will have an EA environment fully deployed
and ready to go.
A typical timescale for TOGAF deployment can be shortened to
just 6 weeks, including TOGAF training.

The solution includes the following content to help in all
phases of the ADM, especially in the Preliminary Phase and the
first iteration of the TOGAF ADM when setting up a new TOGAF
Enterprise Architecture Capability.

- A TOGAF ADM-based Architecture & Modeling
Repository
- Implemented TOGAF 9 Content Meta-model (Inc. TOGAF
Attributes)
- Complete Set of TOGAF Artifact & Deliverable
Templates (TOGAF Views & Viewpoints)
- Attractive TOGAF 9 Visio Notations
- TOGAF "How To" BPMN Processes and Other Reference
Guides
- GAP Analysis Report

You don't have to be TOGAF Experts
The TOGAF 9 solution provides a great environment to not only
learn TOGAF 9 in context, which can assist in working towards TOGAF
certification, but also permits exploration and test cases for
shared learning between Architects. Business processes are
included to guide you through the phases of the TOGAF ADM, user
guides show how to produce TOGAF-required deliverables, and the
pre-configured repository ensures that you are working within a
TOGAF-compliant environment.
Easily Customize TOGAF 9 to fit your needs
As part of the Preliminary Phase of the ADM, an organization
will tailor the Architecture framework and content to suit their
business and architecture needs. Every aspect of the software is
customizable - areas of the meta-model can be removed / extended,
notations such as ArchiMate can be loaded, and templates swapped
and re-assigned as desired.
iServer, The Only True 'Architecture Repository'
Many Enterprise Architecture tools do not have the capability to
hold anything but models and lists of database content and
therefore can only be seen as 'modeling repositories', not a true
Architecture Repository. Uniquely, iServer holds not only
models and modeling components (building blocks), but also the
Word, Excel and PowerPoint deliverables and governance documents,
charters etc. required in any TOGAF Enterprise Architecture
capability. As all architecture building blocks, models and
deliverables (views) and documents are stored in iServer's
repository, they can be shared and managed centrally.
Information can be cross-reference for 'what if' and traceability
analysis to ensure maximum value is extracted from the Architecture
work being conducted. Furthermore, the information can be
published quickly and easily to allow accessibility for
non-architects and assure the information has business
relevance.
