About the Role:

The Consultant role (USA – New York City based) at Orbus Software is a demanding and exciting position that entails implementing, training, and providing Orbus product-related services to our customers and prospects across North America. Once trained, the Consultant will operate as part of a small, friendly and focused team – interacting autonomously with leading Fortune 500 companies and other prominent organizations.

 

Typical work activities:

  • Workshops/ meetings with customers to understand their requirements
  • Demonstration of Orbus products and Solutions to potential customers
  • Building tailored ‘Proof of Concept’ (POC) evaluations for Potential customers
  • New customer deployments – configuring and customizing Orbus products and solutions in line with customer requirements
  • Running a number of training courses and building custom training material tailored to customer usage
  • iServer EA and BPA User training
  • iServer Administrator training
  • As an EA/ BPA expert, mentoring customers through their journey in Enterprise Architecture and Business Process initiatives
  • Input into the product development

 

Key Requirements:

  • Degree at Bachelors or Masters level (Science or Technology degrees preferred but not required), with a demonstrable academic record (GPA of 3.5 or above is desirable)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications
  • Proficiency in MS Visio (preferred)
  • One or more relevant professional certifications, e.g. TOGAF, ArchiMate, COBIT, ITIL - (desired but not compulsory)
  • Ability to absorb technical information and communicate this clearly to varied audience
  • Excellent presentation, communication and analytical skills
  • Up to 70% travel as part of onsite consulting engagements, on average. (This will vary from month to month, in line with demand.)

About the Customer Base

Our customers are mainly comprised of large blue chip companies from multiple regions around the globe. Our highest concentration of customers is in North America, Western Europe, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. We are also growing our customer base in South and Central America, The Middle East, Asia and The Pacific Rim. Our customers span the entire spectrum of vertical sectors, both public and private, from Finance, Retail and Manufacturing to Pharmaceutical, Media and Consultancy. Within our customer organization, the types of individual we interact with are usually across the entire IT Management space, including and not limited to: Enterprise Architects, other IT architects (Application, Technical, Network, Data), Business Analysts, Process Analysts and Process Owners, IT Director, CTO etc.
