Orbus Software win big at the Open Group Awards in 2018

Orbus Software were presented with the “Most Valuable Use of a Standard” award by The Open Group in London

London, UK, 18th April 2018 – In a ceremony that took place last night at the Central Hall Westminster in London, Orbus Software were awarded the “Most Valuable Use of a Standard” award by The Open Group. As one of the leading players in the Enterprise Architecture market, Orbus Software participated in the event both as a premium sponsor and award nominee . The company’s flagship product, iServer, was recognized as being instrumental in advancing the widespread use of TOGAF, The Open Group’s most well-known and widely adopted EA framework.

The company is responsible for helping to establish TOGAF repositories in over 350 corporations, local and federal governments, and NGOs across the world. These customers have been able to quickly and easily customise the TOGAF meta-model and use it as the basis for developing their EA initiatives and planning major Business Transformation. In short, Orbus has helped hundreds of organizations use TOGAF as the blueprint for their business. Additionally, in 30% of these cases Orbus have provided the TOGAF meta-model integrated with other de facto standards such as BPMN, ArchiMate, ITIL 2011 and COBIT 5.

Tim Mitchell, Orbus Software’s Head of Marketing said, “I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved. I remember when we first started out, just a small company that offered a business process repository. We couldn’t foresee back then iServer becoming one of the leading enterprise architecture platforms. In 2009, when we decided to offer a preconfigured TOGAF repository, we knew we were the first software vendor to do so. The reaction from customers was immediate and that’s why we took it upon ourselves to make TOGAF a key element of our value proposition– and our mindset hasn’t changed since”.
