Central Repository for Infrastructure Architecture

iServer’s central repository is an important feature because it functions as a storage point for all data architecture projects within the enterprise. The structure of the repository can be customized to be in accordance with the TOGAF repository structure. This allows architects to publish outputs to stakeholders, manage their deliverables, and locate reusable assets. Also, since our platform supports the TOGAF 9.1 Technology Architecture meta-model (along with other standards), iServer makes it possible to define, maintain, govern and audit documentation of data standards, processes, and policies related to core business goals. It facilitates storage and documentation of architecture deliverables and acts as a single source of truth for all data architecture information.

To help you meet this challenge, we created a best in class views and dashboards system that will enable you to find those useful insights and provide great output for decision making. iServer features three types of Views: List, Hierarchy and Matrix.

The dashboards available in our iServer platform have a similar purpose. They will aid you in your work by enabling communication to your audience. Essentially, they facilitate conveying large amounts of information about the data landscape to desired stakeholders, often by taking information from multiple areas of interest and combining it into a final deliverable that feels lightweight but is in fact packed with information.

Framework Preconfigured Solution

In order to get you going as soon as possible, we can provide iServer with a preconfigured framework of your choice. Let’s say you decide to use TOGAF as your framework. iServer provides the TOGAF 9.1 meta-model and extensions, all object types and relationship types, and the full set of metadata definitions. Attributes or meta-data that are captured against each object type can easily be added to the meta-model within iServer. A complete set of diagram templates (viewpoints) are provided for each phase of the architecture development method (ADM), with attractive notation and examples. These include TOGAF 9.1 (many extension diagram templates such as Architecture Roadmaps are also included), TOGAF 9.1 Documents and TOGAF 9.1 Catalogs & Matrices (tools to generate, edit and export TOGAF list and matrix views).

Impact analysis visualizations can be used to identify inconsistencies in the data landscape, anything from a minor opportunity for streamlining a certain data process, to a major risk associated with the flow of data within the enterprise. A range of reports, views, and Visio templates are also available to measure performance and reveal how well the design of the data architecture supports key business processes and functions, as well as how it aligns with the business strategy. Advanced Document Management

In order to support your data architecture initiative, iServer features full integration with the Microsoft Office suite. It is also able to handle a broad range of formats, from PDFs and MPEGs, to AVIs and JPEGs. As a result, information can be documented and managed in the context of the organization, in a familiar collaborative environment, rather than be stored across several locations. iServer users are able to create, import and link documents to objects within the central repository. Additionally they can also tag content as a means of grouping it.
