Introduction

ITIL, or ‘Information Technology Infrastructure Library’, is a widely adopted and accepted framework of IT service management (ITSM) best practices. It provides organizations with directions for effectively managing their IT services.

The ITIL Managing Across the Lifecycle (MALC) qualification sits between the intermediate and Expert ITIL certifications and is the final stepping stone for reaching the level of ‘ITIL Expert’. Candidates must have earned a minimum of 17 credits from the ITIL Foundation and intermediate modules to be eligible to sit the ITIL Managing Across the Lifecycle (MALC) examination.

This course is designed to provide candidates with the skills required to support the service delivery process of an organization by bridging the ITIL service lifecycle stages. The course has been designed to provide delegates with all the knowledge and preparation they require to successfully pass the ITIL Managing Across the Lifecycle (MALC) examination.

The course is aimed at professionals who wish to gain the skills to support an organization’s IT service delivery processes. By the end of the course, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of the theory and practices covered in the ITIL Foundation, Service Lifecycle and Capability modules. They will also be able to combine them into a single service management practice in order to deliver value to businesses.

The course has been developed by industry experts with years of experience in consultancy and training, as well as authoring best-selling ITSM study guides. The course is accredited by PeopleCert, which is licensed by Axelos as an examination institute for its ITIL certification training portfolio.

On passing the certification exam, professionals will be awarded the ‘ITIL Expert’ certificate, which is achieved by accumulating 17 credits through the first two levels of the ITIL certification scheme followed by 5 from MALC.  Candidates who achieve ITIL Expert level will also satisfy the entry criteria for the ITIL Master certification, which is the highest certification level within the ITIL scheme.
