Foundation and Practitioner Levels
Foundation
The PRINCE2 Agile Foundation level is aimed at individuals who have prior experience working in Agile project environments and are new to PRINCE2. There are no prerequisites for the Foundation level.
Practitioner

PRINCE2 Agile Foundation Modules
Module 1 - What is PRINCE2 Agile?
This module provides a summary of PRINCE2 Agile. It describes the user for which the course is designed, and when the methodology would usually be applied. An explanation of projects and business as usual (BAU) activities is also given.
Module 2 - An Overview of PRINCE2
This module provides an overview of the structure, principles, themes, roles, responsibilities, and processes within PRINCE2. The relevant PRINCE2 products for Agile are also explored.
Module 3 - An Overview of Agile
This module examines the development of Agile and provides a comparison with Waterfall. The common methods and techniques of Agile are also described.
Module 4 - Blending PRINCE2 and Agile
This module explains the rationale for combining PRINCE2 and Agile and describes how the two approaches are blended.
Module 5 - Case Study: Latouche’s new Venture
This case study explores a company incorporating Agile into its project.
Module 6 - Fixing and Flexing Aspects of a Project
This module explores project constraints and tolerances and describes the fix and flex model of Agile.
Module 7 - Tailoring the PRINCE2 Themes to Agile
This module provides guidance for learners on adapting established PRINCE2 themes to suit Agile.
Module 8 - Tailoring the PRINCE2 Processes to Agile
This module provides guidance for learners on adapting established PRINCE2 processes to suit Agile.
Module 9 - Agile Focus Areas
This module gives learners information on specific focus areas in PRINCE2 Agile.
Module 10 - Case Study: Tailoring Agile to a Project
This case study explores the Agilometer and how it was applied by one company for a specific project. It also studies how the company configured PRINCE2 Agile for the project in question.
Practice Exam Simulators
This module provides an exam simulator and two practice exams to help students prepare for the PRINCE2 Foundation certification examination.
PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner Modules
Module 1 - A Review of PRINCE2 Agile Foundation
This module comprises a series of quiz questions to test the learner’s knowledge acquired during the Foundation section.
Module 2 - PRINCE2 Agile - Additional Concepts
This module features a video series that explores PRINCE2 Agile concepts not covered at Foundation level.
Module 3 - The McNeil Group
This module introduces a case study featured in the PRINCE2 Agile exam. It features a video explaining the approach of the company in question, along with details of the project.
Module 4 - PRINCE2 Agile Tolerances and Targets
This module introduces three case studies, giving learners the opportunity to apply PRINCE2 Agile tolerances and targets. They are then encouraged to evaluate the effectiveness of their approach.
Module 5 - PRINCE2 Agile Focus Areas
This module introduces four case studies, giving learners the opportunity to apply the four focus areas: Contracts, Requirements, Communication, Frequent Releases, and the Agilometer. They are then encouraged to evaluate the effectiveness of their approach.
Module 6 - PRINCE2 Agile Principles, Themes and Processes
This module introduces three case studies that teach learners how to tailor PRINCE2 principles, themes, processes, and management products. They are then encouraged to evaluate the effectiveness of their approach.
Module 7 - PRINCE2 Agile Principles, Themes and Processes
This module introduces a further three case studies to help learners gain more experience in tailoring PRINCE2 to a specific area of a project.
Practice Exam Simulators
This module provides an exam simulator, along with two practice exams, to help learners prepare for the PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner certification examination.
Assessments
PRINCE2 Agile Foundation
Exam format:
- 50 multiple-choice questions
- Closed-book
- One hour
- Pass mark is 55% or 28/50
- Online exam provided by PeopleCert
PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner
To book and take the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination, the candidate must produce proof they have passed one of the following:
- PRINCE2 Foundation (or higher) – this applies to certificates received after 1st Jan 2009
- PRINCE2 Agile Foundation
Exam Format:
- Scenario-based examination
- 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in 5 exam sections
- Pass mark is 30/50 or 60%
- 150 minutes (2.5 hours) including additional reading time
- Open book (only the official PRINCE2 Agile manual)
- Online exam provided by PeopleCert
