About the Course
The history of the Six Sigma management methodology can be traced back to the mid-1980s when Motorola adapted Six Sigma as a statistical measurement method for quality defects. The company later developed this as a new standard and created a methodology which has now evolved beyond a quality standard for manufacturing companies. Six Sigma today is a popular business performance methodology adopted by many companies across the globe.
The Six Sigma Green Belt Foundation course defines Six Sigma, covers its history and delves into the methodology, exploring the management of customer requirements via the alignment of key business processes. The course also demonstrates how data analysis techniques minimise variation and drive the sustainable improvement in business processes.
Course Outline
The Six Sigma Green Belt Foundation exam has been divided into five modules:
- Module 1: Introduction to Six Sigma, Quality and Standards
- Module 2: Defining the Project Mission
- Module 3: Project Reviews and Management
- Module 4: Introduction to Statistics and Excel
- Module 5: Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Assessment
Learners will be tested through several end of module assessments and interactive exercises, as well as the submission of a work project, which is reviewed by a Six Sigma tutor. Learners are awarded a certification upon successful completion of the course.

** Operating System
Windows XP is no longer supported by its original vendor, Microsoft, but if your organization has internal policies that have extended the use of Windows XP, our LMS provider, Docebo, recommends that your PCs be migrated to MS Windows 8 or above at your earliest convenience.
