Why Do Consumers Rank Orbus So Highly?

In January 2019, Orbus Software was the only enterprise architecture vendor to attain the Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice Distinction. We believe the recently published Voice of the Customer paper elucidates why.

Designed as a compliment to the Customer’s Choice, the paper consolidates all user reviews from the previous calendar year (2018), and drills into user feedback; examining the strengths and weakness of major products on the market, as well supplying the logic behind Gartner’s methodology.

We are delighted to announce that in every category Orbus either equaled or exceeded the average rating. Given the high volume of reviews – over 200 – the trustworthiness and reliability of this feedback is dramatically increased. According to the research, ‘the more reviews a vendor receives, the more likely it is that you can trust a summary rating.’

What Does This Mean for You?

We believe that Gartner Peer Insights is a valuable resource for customers as it allows you to peruse specific reviews, as well as make direct comparisons between vendors. Consequently, you can find users who had similar requirements and faced similar challenges to see what they thought of a given company or product.

The Voice of the Customer report focuses on the customer experience of implementing and operating a solution, and is not simply a 3rd party opinion. Moreover, you can trust the report, as reviews are anonymous, encouraging honest opinions without fear of reprisals. Similarly, all reviews are validated by Gartner before being approved and published, so you can be confident that reviewers do not have any association to the vendor or conflict of interest.

The Current State of the Enterprise Architecture Market

Within the report, Gartner define enterprise architecture tools as, ‘software applications designed to support enterprise architects and other business and IT stakeholders with strategically driven planning, analysis, design and execution.’ Such tools they suggest, should, ‘support strategic and tactical decision making by capturing and connecting context and information across business, information, solution and technology domains along with other relevant architectural viewpoints.’

Against this backdrop, Orbus have excelled, building upon our position as Challenger in the 2018 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools. In the Voice of the Customer, Orbus are the only vendor in the Customer’s Choice Zone – the top right quadrant – which is based on number of reviews and overall score to provide a balanced end-user view of the market.

In every category, Orbus, and our iServer product, possessed the most reviews and either equaled or exceeded the average rating. The 36 categories in which we were graded included overall rating, willingness to recommend, product capabilities, evaluation and contracting, integration and deployment, and service and support.
