Core Principles Behind Successful Business Process Management
About this Resource
Business Process Management is a systematic and structured approach for analyzing, improving, controlling, and managing processes with the aim of improving the quality of products and services. BPM allows organizations to become more efficient, more effective, and more capable of change when compared to the traditional functionally-focused and hierarchical management approaches.
In this paper, Gregor presents a detailed overview of the four basic BPM principles which leverage the success of BPM. He looks at the role of BPMN in supporting these core BPM principles, as well as how BPMN can interrelate different BPM phases. He concludes this paper with a summary of the topics covered.
