  • Modeling

    Modeling refers to the construction of an applicable Model for a particular subject area or domain, through the use of appropriate Methodologies.
  • Muda

    Muda is a Japanese term used to describe any type of waste elements that add no value to the product: i.e. Waiting, Transporting, Over production, Excess Motion, Inventory Defects, Human Touches.
  • Normal Flow

    A Normal Flow is a process flow that originates from a Start Event and continues through activities on alternative and parallel paths until reaching an End Event.
  • Objective

    In the context of Enterprise Architecture or Business Process Analysis, Objective refers to a desired outcome that is quantifiable and measurable.
  • Orchestration

    Orchestration is the automated arrangement, coordination, execution, and management of complex computer applications, systems, integration, and services.
  • Orchestration Engine

    An Orchestration Engine coordinates the sequencing of steps and activities (manual and automated) according to flows and rules in the business process model (workflow).
  • Parent Process

    A Parent Process is a Process that holds a Sub-Process within its boundaries.
  • Pareto Chart

    A Pareto Chart is a graphical tool for ranking causes of problems from most significant to least significant.
  • Participant

    A Participant is a business entity (e.g., a company, company division, or a customer) or a business role (e.g., a buyer or a seller) that controls or is responsible for a business process.
  • Patterns

    In the context of Enterprise Architecture or Business Process Analysis, a Pattern is a technique for defining re-usable building blocks into context.
