Baseline

The Baseline is considered the starting point of an architecture specification that has been formally reviewed and agreed upon. Consequently, any changes made to a baseline are applied to form a new version or state of the architecture- for example an interim state or target state of an architecture. Changes made to the Baseline are typically made through formal change control procedures or a type of procedure such as configuration management.
