Service

A service is the packaging of a collection of related sets of chunks or components into a defined self-contained unit called a service. Each Service does not depend on the context or state of any other service.

Although Services are most commonly thought of in terms of the application and technology domains of Enterprise Architecture, they can also be defined in the business viewpoint or domain.
