Objective - Definition

Although the term Objective has multiple different meanings, in the context of Enterprise Architecture or Business Process Analysis it refers to a desired outcome that is quantifiable and measureable. It is these last elements of being quantifiable and measureable that distinguishes an Objective from a Goal.
An Example of an Objective is "Increase Sales Revenue from new products by 30% in the next calendar year".
