But here we are – iServer 2019! Since our last major release, we’ve been listening to customer feedback, working tirelessly to bring to you the new features and enhancements from our market leading tool. So it seemed only fitting to celebrate this exciting new step in the Orbus Software journey, by making a short hop across the pond and bringing our annual launch event to our customers in New York City!

Over a jam packed two days, attended by over 100 iServer customers, end users and champions, we talked, we listened, we laughed at bad jokes, and of course took advantage of New York’s famous hospitality. It was by far the most ambitious and exciting event Orbus have ever held, and as we continue to grow and cement ourselves in the market, we know it was nothing more than what our customers deserve.

For the first time, the Big Day was preceded by an iServer Training Day in the heart of Manhattan. It was important for us to bring as much value as possible to our attendees over the course of the two days, and this extra day delivered! In the morning, we watched deep dives into hot topics like iServer Workflow and iServer Portal Scenarios from experienced Orbus consultants. And then after a much deserved lunchbreak, it was time to get hands on in the Breakout Sessions, covering everything from Visio Pro Tips to BPM best practices in iServer.

Our senior consultants were on hand to answer questions and guide the workshops, but the best part for us was watching iServer users from all across North America and around the globe, from such a variety of industries, projects and backgrounds, get the chance to engage with each other. As we always say, we wouldn’t be here without our customers helping to push to make Orbus and iServer better with every new iteration, and being able to hear lively discussions about how everyone is using our tool to solve such a wide range of problems is what these events are all about!

And then we had the Big Day… Welcome to the Lincoln Center of Performing Arts, renowned for world class opera, theater, dance and music… and now also where iServer 2019 was announced to our customers, and the world! It’s always so exciting, having spent so long developing and improving our tool between one release and the next, to finally get to show it off and see everyone’s reaction. From new Graphical Analysis to Portal Content Editing, iServer 2019 promises to be the best yet.

And it wasn’t just Orbus up there on the stage in the morning – it’s always brilliant to hear first-hand from our dedicated customers, and see how they’re using iServer. We heard from Bill Fellner, Lead Enterprise Architect at Humana, about how they are using iServer to mature their Enterprise Architecture Practice. And from KPMG International, we welcomed back Robert Hilger following his appearance at the iServer 2017 launch, this time discussing using enterprise data for dashboards. Margo Visitacion, Vice President and Principal Analyst EA from Forrester Research opened up the discussion even further, with her talk on connecting EA and strategic portfolio management to deliver value – a hot topic to get us into lunch!

Finally, it’s not an Orbus Software Launch Event without our patented Roundtable Sessions, which everyone launched into with vigor for what proved to be a chatty and valuable afternoon. Screens out, our Head of Marketing on ‘speed-dating’ duty, and Orbus consultants jumping between tables – business as usual! Covering exciting new features including the Orbus Ecosystem, iServer’s SPM capability and Repository API, as well the upgrade process for iServer 2019 from our support team, everyone got involved.

It was definitely a day (or two!) to remember. And after everyone had unwound and got cultural with a guided tour around the Lincoln Center, when the corks had popped on drinks, canapes swept out on trays, and the blinds raised to reveal the stunning vista of a Manhattan skyline at sunset to the tune of a Julliard jazz trio, it was smiles all round.

The release of iServer 2019 is a step we are so excited to take, side by side with our customers. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you, pushing us to make iServer the best it can be. Hearing from so many people as excited as we are only proves without a doubt that iServer will continue to go from strength to strength. Last year London, this year New York… bring on next year!
