February Roundup

The winter blues are finally fading away, so you won’t blame Orbus Software if we have a spring in our step as we head into March.

We kicked off February with a virtual ‘OrbCon’, bringing together the entire company for the first time since the pandemic kicked off. There was plenty to announce, with record growth for 2021, our innovation roadmap for the next year, our commitment to sustainability and most importantly, our new set of company values.

Our first Orbinar of the month made a big splash, as Banking and Finance expert Sanjiv Nathani spoke on “Designing Business as Unusual”, looking at how enterprise architects will need to rise to the challenges of continual transformation. The end of the month saw another Orbus Live, this time looking at cybersecurity with Orbus’ Information Security Manager Aaron McManus-Wood. “The Most Dangerous Trade: Making the Right Choice in Cybersecurity” is available to view on LinkedIn.

The end of February saw another big Orbus event, as we hosted our second “Transform Day” for customers in New York. It was great to catch up with our North American customers and hear first-hand accounts of their experiences over the past year. This time around, conversations focused on the position of EA within organizations and the ability to influence long-term strategic goals. The day was another great success and we look forward to hosting more over the next 12 months.

Over on the blog, February proved to be a busy month as we published the first in a series of articles on sustainability, Addressing Competitive Advantage With Sustainability, as well as 2 pieces looking at core EA concepts, 4 Effective Fundamentals of Enterprise Architecture and How to Manage Risk within an Enterprise Architecture Project

Banking & Financial Services were well served in terms of content, with a new eBook in February: Rapid Adaption to the Unforeseen Requires Enterprise Architecture, while we also looked again at Application Rationalization in Application Rationalization: The Journey

As the year warms up, so too will our content, so keep your eyes open for more exciting releases this month!
