Orbus Software Approved as UK G-Cloud 15 Provider, Advancing Government Digital Transformation

‍Leading enterprise architecture platform joins UK government's refreshed cloud procurement framework with enhanced security standards

Orbus Software is pleased to announce that it has been approved as a provider on G-Cloud 15, the UK government's latest cloud procurement framework managed by the Government Commercial Agency (GCA). This marks another chapter in Orbus’ more than two decade-long partnership with UK government organizations, and successive G-Cloud frameworks, underscoring our sustained commitment to supporting digital transformation across the UK public sector.

G-Cloud 15 replaces G-Cloud 14, offering government and public sector organizations a streamlined, secure, and compliant route to procure cloud-based software and services, and aligns with the UK Procurement Act 2023. With over 46,000 services from 4,000 suppliers available on the Digital Marketplace, G-Cloud 15 provides unparalleled choice and transparency for buyers across central government, the NHS, local authorities, emergency services, and educational institutions.

Orbus' Commitment to UK Government

For over 20 years, Orbus has been a trusted technology partner to UK public sector organizations, including central government departments, NHS trusts, and local authorities. The company provides an AI-powered enterprise architecture platform that drives informed decision-making and faster, smarter digital transformation outcomes.

"G-Cloud 15 listing is an important milestone for Orbus and a clear signal of our commitment to supporting UK government organizations," said Paul Scholey, SVP UK at Orbus Software. "The enhanced security standards in G-Cloud 15 - particularly mandatory Cyber Essentials - align perfectly with our track record of delivering secure, compliant solutions. OrbusInfinity enables government teams to gain total visibility into their technology estate, manage risk effectively, and make digital transformation decisions with confidence."

What's New in G-Cloud 15?

The latest iteration of the framework introduces significant enhancements designed to strengthen security posture and drive better outcomes for government buyers:

Mandatory Cyber Essentials Certification – All suppliers must now hold Cyber Essentials certification (or Cyber Essentials Plus for certain hosting services), embedding baseline security controls across the entire supply chain. This represents a major shift from previous iterations, ensuring that government procurement decisions are made with enhanced confidence in supplier security practices.

Extended Framework Terms – G-Cloud 15 operates on an 18-month cycle with periodic reopenings, providing greater stability and predictability for both suppliers and buyers compared to shorter framework agreements.

Increased Focus on Social Value – The framework now emphasizes social value considerations, encouraging suppliers to demonstrate their commitment to supporting local communities, sustainability, and inclusive growth alongside commercial capability.

These changes reflect the UK government's strategic commitment to mitigating supply chain risks while maintaining a competitive marketplace that supports organizations of all sizes, with 90% of suppliers being small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
